About
Have you spent so much of your life caring for everyone else — showing up, holding things together, and pushing through even when you’re exhausted? Maybe you’ve wondered, “Am I the one caring for everyone else but myself?” Has the physical, mental, and emotional weight of a chronic illness or condition drained your ability to do anything more than survive? Do you feel alone in your experience, convinced that no one could ever truly understand what you’re going through?
Maybe you worry about the future of someone you love. Maybe you’ve been physically, emotionally, mentally, or socially hurt and are still carrying the impact. Maybe you’re trying to understand why you’re unique — or why you’ve never quite felt like you fit in. Maybe you’re searching for your people, your community, your tribe.
If any of that feels familiar, you’re not alone — and you don’t have to navigate it by yourself.
My name is Matthew Grimm, and I’m a therapist who has lived many of those experiences myself. I believe deeply in the power of creativity, connection, and compassionate curiosity. My path into this work has been shaped by years of supporting individuals and families across community mental health, school‑based programs, and outpatient therapy settings. I’ve worked with children learning to express big emotions, teens navigating identity and belonging, young adults finding their footing, and adults carrying the weight of trauma, chronic illness, caregiving, and complex family dynamics.
My experience has taught me that healing isn’t linear — and it isn’t one‑size‑fits‑all. People need space to explore, imagine, question, and rewrite their stories in ways that feel authentic and empowering. That’s the space I aim to create.
I support neurodivergent individuals, trauma survivors, caregivers, and people living with chronic illnesses, as well as kids, teens, and young adults navigating identity, emotional regulation, and relationships. My clinical focus includes:
Neurodivergent‑affirming support Honoring your wiring, reducing shame, and helping you build systems that work with your brain.
Chronic illness and caregiver support Navigating grief, burnout, identity shifts, and the emotional toll of long‑term care or health challenges.
Trauma‑informed care Creating a grounded, safe space to explore experiences that shape anxiety, stress, and relationship patterns — and helping you strengthen boundaries, communication, and nervous system regulation.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and authentic. I integrate evidence‑based practices with creative, experiential methods to help you understand not just what you’re feeling, but why — in a way that feels grounded, empowering, and true to who you are.
I also offer several specialized modalities, including:
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) Supporting the healing of painful memories, body‑based reactions, and long‑held beliefs.
Drama Therapy Using movement, metaphor, and role to explore emotions and practice new ways of relating.
Narrative Therapy Examining the stories you’ve inherited or internalized — and helping you rewrite the ones that no longer serve you.
Narradrama Blending narrative and drama therapy to bring your story to life through action and imagination.
Therapeutic Tabletop Role‑Playing Games (TTRPGs) Using collaborative storytelling and character exploration to build confidence, social skills, and emotional insight.
